This tutorial shows a real life application of intermediate Excel techniques for sorting and making macros to make your life easier and quicker. This spreadsheet was submitted by a member of the tutorial Library and they have kindly given permission for my comments to be turned into a tutorial for everyone.
In this tutorial you will see how to lateral thinking can enable you to use the standard Excel sort command to sort a list in any order at all, not just straight ascending or descending. In the tutorial we order the list by a 2 letter code at the end of each list item.
You will also see how easy it is to add a button to your spreadsheet and how much easier it can make the sheet to use.
The tutorial is slightly longer than usual and if nearly 10 minutes long, so please be patient as it starts to download.
